Intermission Crew for Dollywood's Sweet Summer Nights!
August 13th, 2024
I had the pleasure of spending the summer at Dollywood dancing through Wild Wood Grove and playing limbo with children for the Sweet Summer Night's Dance Party. This special dance party teaches you dances and parties the night away ending with fireworks and a drone show. This was the first time I was able to be apart of the dance party. I had been a drone technician for Dollywood two separate times before so it was really cool to be able things from a different side. My job was for the intermission crew and I to set up the stage before the show, then we would have different areas where we would watch the stage or keep a count at the door (it was nice because we were able to also dance if we wanted to!). During intermission two of us would play limbo with the guests and then dance the Macarena while the dancers were coming back from intermission. We would tear down the set every night and then head home! I met so many amazing people and it was nice to spend the summer with an amazing team.

My First Ever National Tour
March 2nd, 2024
For the last two months I have been on the road with my first national tour with Bright Star Touring Theatre. I've been around most of the eastern seaboard doing children's theatre for sometimes thousands of kids. I have not been to many places so it has been an honor to be able to see so many different states. So far we have been from Massachusetts all the way to Florida! This has been an incredible journey and I can't wait to see what I come across next!

Being a Drone Technician For Christmas
January 4th, 2024
For the Christmas season at Dollywood I was an elf for the Santa walkthrough experience (post about that below) But Santa's List...Naughty or Nice? was the only part of the season that finished after Christmas was over. There was still a week before the park was closed for the new year. I was lucky enough to be able to help out the drone team and work as a drone tech for the final week. I had worked with some of them before because I was a tech back in summer 2022. The show itself was amazing and being able to work behind the scenes of it was an honor. No photos for this job because everything is secret! :)
Working with Santa in the Great Smoky Mountains
December 27th, 2023
This year I was able to be an elf for Dollywood's special walkthrough experience Santa's List...Naughty or Nice? I played Blink, a Christmas light elf and I had a blast! The children were fun and it was so wonderful to give them some Christmas magic while visiting the Dollywood park. Me and a team of other elves kept the guests entertained and safe while they waited. We played games and I got to get to know families while they waited. A truly awesome experience and I am so glad I was able to be apart of it!!

Using My Voice for a Vocal Dialect Study
November 10th, 2023
I got to try my hand at voice acting with Virginia Tech's Linguistic department! I worked with this department when I was in college during January 2022 and I was able to work with them again! This was an exciting project because there were two voices I had to do. Voice acting is so much fun and I definitely hope to do it in the future!
Being Apart of a Community Tour
September 12th, 2023
I was given an amazing opportunity to work my first job out of college with North Carolina Stage Company! Every year NC Stage goes on a community tour where they bring a show to non-traditional spaces. This year was Antigone. I had tohe honor of playing Ismene. We were able to bring this show around the Asheville area and even travel as far as Boone, NC. I met so many friends and got to make some great memories working on this project. It was an amazing summer!

Graduating College
May 6th, 2023
I graduated college from Emory and Henry College today. I am so grateful for everything I have learned and everyone I have met. Getting a degree in performance has been one of my dreams since I was 14 years old and doing community theatre for the first time. I transferred to Emory and Henry College after getting an associate degree from Walters State Community College. Going to Emory and Henry right after the heat of the pandemic gave me hope for the future. They were ready to return and complete the proper procedures to let us be on stage again. These last two years have changed me, and I am so excited about the future!
